Who we are
Buffy has worked in Fine Art since starting out as a Porter at Bonhams in 1973 being trained by Alex Meddowes. Having led his own Art Dealership in Hampshire for thirty years, buying and selling between 2000 and 3000 paintings a year, Buffy’s particular area of expertise is in Old Master Paintings. He has discovered paintings by Frans Hals, Annibale Carracci, Giovanni Battista Tiepolo amongst others, but his most notable achievement was spotting a Sebastiano del Piombo, which eventually sold to the Getty Museum in California.
He then returned to the Auction world as the Head of Picture department at John Nicholson’s in 2012 before establishing Parker Fine Art Auctions in 2020.
